SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man in a wheelchair was taken to the hospital after they were hit by a vehicle in Sacramento County Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 10 p.m. in the area of Elkhorn and Andrea boulevards in the Foothill Farms area.
Officials said the man was crossing the roadway across Elkhorn when a unknown vehicle hit him and took off.
Police said the man was taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
