Wife accused of shooting, killing husband in Tracy

Police said the suspect and victim were married. They also don't believe there's any threat to the community.

TRACY, Calif. — A woman is behind bars after allegedly shooting and killing her husband in Tracy.

Tracy Police Department announced Jean Miranda, 43 of Tracy, was arrested in connection with a shooting along the 1700 block of Hampshire Lane that happened Wednesday.

Police said the victim, 53-year-old Wesley Bozek, was taken to a hospital but ultimately died from his injuries Thursday.

According to police, Miranda and Bozek were married. They also don't believe there's any threat to the community.

Miranda was arrested Thursday on suspicion of charges that included murder. She was booked into the county jail.
