MODESTO, Calif. — A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder in Modesto last week after a search warrant was executed at a home.
According to a news release from the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest was part of an investigation into the death of Adolfo Davila Jr. Davila was shot to death in April 2021 in Hollister.
The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Modesto authorities, served a search warrant Thursday at a home on Orangeburg Avenue in Modesto. They seized a gun, evidence and they arrested Rebecca Nunez.
Nunez was booked on suspicion of murder and accessory to murder.
Authorities are still looking for Alfredo Arredondo, who is also wanted for murder in connection with the deadly shooting. The FBI put forth a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
Arredondo has ties to Merced and Modesto, though he may have fled to Mexico since the shooting.
