MODESTO, Calif. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot in Modesto Monday night.
A Modesto Police Department Watch Commander said officers responded to the 500 block of East Roseburg Avenue around 11 p.m. for a reported shooting and found a woman with a gunshot wound.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she's listed in critical condition.
The suspect, 47-year-old Keith Vennema, was detained and questioned. Police say he was later arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, domestic violence and firearms charges.
