Woman killed in south Sacramento stabbing, Sheriff's Office says

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says an investigation is underway at a residence on the 6300 block of Leola Way.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed and killed in south Sacramento.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the stabbing around 6:30 a.m. The office says the stabbing likely happened at a residence on the 6300 block of Leola Way. 

Authorities say the woman was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, where she was later pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives are investigating the stabbing. No information on suspects is known at this time.
