Blanchard is moving out of the area and will leave the community college’s board Dec. 1, according to Alex Breitler, a spokesman for the college. Her last board meeting was Tuesday.
Blanchard represented Area 2 in the district, which services central Stockton, the college said. Details on how Blanchard’s seat will be filled will be determined at a future date, Breitler said.

Her late husband, Joseph Blanchard, was superintendent and president of Delta College from 1954 to 1976.
In a statement, she was thanked for her service by current superintendent and president, Lisa Aguilera Lawrenson, and Janet Rivera, the board president .
