IONE, Calif. - Former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight, now facing murder and attempted murder charges following a fatal hit-and-run in Compton last week, granted a rare prison interview in 2001 while serving time for a probation violation.
Speaking to News10's George Warren shortly before his release from Mule Creek State Prison, Knight said his four years behind bars had softened him and made him wiser.
In April 2001, Knight pledged to leave prison a changed man.
