SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The familiar blue and yellow trim vests at Walmart will be making their way out in favor of a new style of vest, each with fabric made from recycled bottles.
It follows last year's change in the company’s dress code that allowed store associates to wear clothes like jeans and sneakers that made them feel more comfortable.
The new vests are a steel gray, which is meant to blend with a wider variety of colors for the trim and trademark spark on the back.
Rollouts for the new uniform start this year with each Supercenter and Neighborhood market worker getting one of the new vests. Later this year, the uniforms will even be customizable.
