PLACERVILLE, Calif. — A Texas man was killed in California after his golf cart crashed at Apple Mountain Golf Resort.
According to CHP - Placerville, two men were golfing at the resort in Camino around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, when while driving in a golf cart downhill at an unsafe speed, the driver lost control and crashed into a creek. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Texas, was ejected and killed immediately.
The passenger, a 31-year-old man from Sacramento, sustained minor injuries.
CHP suspects alcohol may be a factor in the crash. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
