Teen arrested after deadly Turlock shooting

Police say the suspect was already in the Stanislaus County Juvenile Detention Center for an unrelated case. He was then rebooked for murder.

TURLOCK, Calif. — Turlock police arrested a 17-year-old Monday suspected of shooting and killing someone and injuring another on the 700 block of Wayside Drive.

Police were sent there last Tuesday night for reports of a shooting and found two gunshot victims; one with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the arm and 19-year-old Amado 'Dominic' Escobedo III, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was identified as a 17-year-old from Turlock. Police say detectives went to the Stanislaus County Juvenile Detention Center Monday where the teen was being held on a unrelated case.

He was then rebooked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
