GRASS VALLEY, Calif. — One person died in a Grass Valley home fire just before 10 p.m. Friday, according to officials.
Crews with the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District were called to Little Valley Road in Grass Valley about a fire that had trapped a person inside.
The single-story home was engulfed in flames and filled with smoke, eventually leading to crews finding one person dead, according to a press release.
The fire was contained to the one home and is under investigation.
