SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two people are in custody after a man was killed in a shooting in Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to the 4600 block of 12th Avenue for a reported shooting around 5 a.m.
Upon arrival they found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound inside the home. He was later pronounced dead.
Police say two suspects were identified in the case -- 38-year-old Marcus Dearmond and 28-year-old Channel Hellum, both from Sacramento.
The pair were arrested and booked on suspicion of homicide at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
