2 dead after car, motorcycle collide in Yuba County

The motorcyclist and his female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

MARYSVILLE, Calif. — Two people are dead after a car vs. motorcycle crash in Yuba County late Monday night.

The California Highway Patrol says it happened around 11:30 p.m. near Nobel Road, south of Highway 70.

CHP says a 21-year-old man in a Toyota Corolla was leaving a driveway along Highway 70 and turned to go south when he pulled into the path of a Harley Davidson.

The motorcyclist, an unidentified 62-year-old man from Marysville, crashed into the left rear door of the Corolla. 

Both the motorcyclist and his passenger, an unidentified 63-year-old woman from Marysville, were ejected. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP says neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected in the crash. The motorcyclist and his passenger will be identified pending notification of next of kin.
