2 dogs revived, 2 people saved from North Highlands apartment fire

NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — Two people and two dogs were saved from a fire Saturday morning, according to Sacramento Metro Fire.

The fire happened just before noon in a North Highlands apartment. One unit was severely damaged by the flames, according to officials. 

Two dogs were revived and two people were pulled to safety from a nearby balcony. 

Officials say a stove being left on started the fire.

No injuries were reported.
