GALT, Calif. — Two homes were a total loss after a fire sparked in Galt Thursday afternoon.
According to Cosumnes Fire Assistant Chief Josh Freeman, the fire was reported a little after 4 p.m. along the 100 block of Emerald Oak Drive.
He said the fire was burning between two homes before wind pushed it into an attic. Both homes were destroyed.
A third home had minor damage to the outside area.
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing for what caused the fire.
