SACRAMENTO - A five-unit apartment complex in Placerville was closed off after an early morning fire damaged two upstairs units.
Two men were found outside of the apartments with burns, according to the Placerville Police Department. One was taken by air ambulance and the other by ground ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center. Their conditions were not known.
Several others at the complex at 2661 Woodridge Court escaped without harm, police on scene said.
Arson investigators were called to the complex to determine the cause of the fire.
The fire was first reported at 5:01 a.m.
