CALIFORNIA, USA — Fire crews rescued two people trapped on top of their vehicle in standing water in Sacramento County Monday morning.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says it happened on Kiefer Boulevard at Jackson Road in Sloughhouse.
A boat made it to the vehicle and rescued the two people from the roof of their car. They were uninjured and taken to safety.
Sacramento County implemented a hard road closure, according to the fire district. It will stay in place until the water recedes.
