SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman and her brother were arrested Friday and accused of homicide in connection with a deadly shooting from over three years ago in North Highlands.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened at an apartment on Oakhollow Drive on June 21, 2021. Upon arrival, deputies located 49-year-old Wayne Blanchard and his girlfriend. Blanchard was found dead, and his girlfriend had suffered a gunshot wound to the head but survived, authorities said.
Investigators say Sunnerica Sinohui, her brother David and her boyfriend Dominique Brown planned the deadly shooting. Brown since died from an unrelated incident in Washington state. Sinohui was reportedly located in Sacramento and her brother David in Riverside County.
David Sinohui was arrested in Victorville on Friday and is awaiting extradition to Sacramento County. Sinohui was also arrested Friday and is expected to appear Sept. 24 in Sacramento County Superior Court.
