STOCKTON, Calif. — The 14th Annual Stockton Restaurant Week starts Friday and runs for 10 days (until January 28) offering diners the opportunity to try food from more than 30 restaurants at a fixed price.
Now, you may be wondering why the annual event takes place in January. According to Visit Stockton, it’s because data shows the month is typically the slowest for restaurants so it helps give the businesses a boost.
Visit Stockton says many restaurants who participate report having their best week or month of the year throughout the event, and last year’s data showed a more than 20% increase in visits to restaurants.
