3 arrested during sideshow in Natomas industrial area

Hundreds of cars gathered near a shop in the industrial area of North Sacramento on Northgate Boulevard and North Market Boulevard.

UPDATE: Officer Mike Zerfas, a CHP spokesman, clarified that a sideshow is a “gathering with the intend to illegally street race, drag race, or take part in exhibitions of speed.”

Zerfas explained to ABC10 these sideshows are a weekly event in the Natomas industrial area.

“But one this large is unusual,” Zerfas said, explaining this one grew in size because it was posted to social media.

Sacramento Speed Shop was celebrating its grand opening, during which they saw between 800 and 1,000 visitors Sunday.
