3 women sue Dixon medical clinic, doctor over alleged sexual abuse

The lawsuit says the medical clinic was made aware of the alleged abuse but did not act.

DIXON, Calif. — Three women are suing a Dixon medical clinic and doctor, accusing the clinic of ignoring complaints of patient sexual abuse by a doctor previously employed there.

In a lawsuit filed Monday, three women say Dr. Andy Yongde Zhu abused them during examinations at Dixon Family Practice. They allege sexual battery, medical malpractice, sexual harassment and gender violence.

The lawsuit says Dhu “fondled” and “molested” young female patients between 2014 and 2020 until a 16-year-old victim went to law enforcement.

The three women, identified only as Jane Doe #1-3, were between the ages of 18 and 26 when the alleged sexual abuse happened. The lawsuit says the women reported it happening to Community Medical Centers (CMC) in 2014 and 2015, yet no action was taken.

Community Medical Centers, Inc. sent the following statement to ABC10:

"This morning, Community Medical Centers, Inc. (“CMC”) learned that a lawsuit had been filed against CMC and a former member of its medical staff. Maintaining a safe environment for both staff and patients has always been, and will continue to be, CMC’s priority. However, as this is a pending lawsuit, CMC cannot comment on specific allegations at this time."
