ALPINE COUNTY, Calif. — A plane crash in Alpine County left two people dead early Thursday morning, according to the Alpine County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say they were called about an overdue plane around 1 a.m. The GPS on the aircraft was showing it was in the Willow Creek area near Luther Pass.
Once deputies arrived to the location, they found a crashed single engine plane next to Willow Creek Road. Both people on board were pronounced dead at the scene, officials say.
The crash is under investigation and no other information is currently available.
