No injuries after Amador Fire crews battle two-story house fire

The Amador Fire Protection District said the blaze sparked along DeMartini Road.

WILLOW CREEK, Calif. — Firefighters battled a house fire in Amador County Sunday evening.

The Amador Fire Protection District said the blaze sparked along DeMartini Road in Willow Creek around 5:30 p.m.

Officials said the crews found a two-story home showing smoke and fire from the back side with extension into the attic. 

Everyone was evacuated from the house and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to the rest of the home, with only 25% of it sustaining damage.

The cause is still under investigation.
