Congregants of an Orangevale synagogue were greeted Saturday morning by multiple anti-Semitic flyers plastered on the walls and doors of the building.
A number of flyers, at least one of which appears to be printed from the white supremacist and neo-Nazi blog site The Daily Stormer, were discovered as people arrived for Sabbath prayer, Temple Or Rishon's president Kimberly Olker said.
One of the posters depicts movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault, superimposed on a graphic caricature. The poster reads, "Hitler, Rockwell, and Pierce warned you about sleazy Hollywood" and includes an anti-Semitic slur.
Another poster shows photo of white supremacist Dylann Roof, who killed nine African Americans inside a South Carolina church in 2015, burning an American flag. The poster reads "Dylann Roof did nothing wrong."
In a statement to ABC10 News, Olker said, "This incident has been reported to the County Sheriff and the FBI. We are working closely with authorities to investigate this hate crime and are currently reviewing the security camera footage and other evidence."
Olker added that the temple has received "an outpouring of support" from the religious community in the area.
