One person is in the hospital and several are displaced after an apartment fire in the Arden area Sunday afternoon.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District received calls of the fire just before 1 p.m. at 1251 Fulton Ave. The fire started in the bathroom of one unit spread to the attic and an adjoining apartment.
The department tweeted that two units suffered fire damage, another two suffered smoke damage and four suffered water damage. One resident was transported to an area hospital. Red Cross has been requested to assist the residents who have been displaced.
The fire department estimated the damage to be around $75,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
