PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Auburn Tuesday, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 49 just north of Bell Road. A vehicle hit a person in the southbound lanes and left the area after the crash.
The person died at the scene.
The vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan with front-end damage. Anyone with more information can call the California Highway Patrol Auburn Area Office at (916) 663-3344.
