PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — A woman died after a crash in Placer County near Auburn on Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. north of Auburn along Edgewood Road, east of Blitz Lane. When officers arrived, they found a Ford van had collided with a pedestrian.
The woman, identified only as a 73-year-old from Orangevale, was taken to a hospital where she later died.
