ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A retail clothing store in the Roseville Galleria will close next week.
The mall’s Banana Republic will close its doors Jan. 24, a store representative told ABC10 Wednesday.
The store said it will not offer any closing sales but will offer the same deals any other store would, including some 40% markdowns and 20% off items for card members.
Gap Stores Inc. purchased Banana Republic as a two-location safari and travel-themed store in 1983, according to Gap’s website. In 2005, Banana Republic opened its first Japan store in Tokyo, according to Gap.
Banana Republic was founded in Mill Valley, California, in 1978, according to its website.
Two other Banana Republic locations in the Sacramento area will remain open including one in the Arden Fair mall and another in the Folsom Premium Outlets.
