SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A bicyclist died after riding into the path of a car along 65th Street in Sacramento County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported just before 7 p.m., north of Florin Road, on Nov. 9.
Police said a 2016 BMW was driving along 65th Street southbound when the bicyclist tried to go across the street, turning and riding directly into the path of the car.
Police said the driver hit the brakes, but wasn't able to avoid the collision.
The bicyclist, only described a 32-year-old Hispanic woman, was taken to a hospital with major injuries. Police learned she died from her injuries on Nov. 10.
