WOODLAND, Calif. — One person is dead after a head-on crash between a big rig and a pickup truck Thursday morning near Woodland.
The deadly crash was reported around 10:45 a.m. in the area of County Road 27 and County 94.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig went onto the right shoulder of County Road 27 and is believed to have overcorrected into the path of the pickup truck.
The pickup driver died in the crash, and the big rig driver had minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are suspected as factors in the crash.
