FOLSOM, Calif. — A BoxLunch store will host its grand opening Saturday and Sunday at Folsom’s Palladio shopping center.
Located at 280 Palladio Parkway, the newest BoxLunch will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to a news release by the pop culture gift shop.
The shop will feature games, prizes and a live DJ to celebrate the grand opening, the release said. The first 50 people in line Saturday and Sunday will receive a BoxLunch gift card valued anywhere between $10 and $100.
Its location stands across the street from Whole Foods Market.
Hot Topic Inc. launched BoxLunch in 2015 after the company found a gap in merchandising experiences for adult pop culture consumers and their families, according to License Global. There were over 200 locations as of August 2022.
Hot Topic Inc. oversees Hot Topic stores, Box Lunch and a third brand: Her Universe, according to License Global. Hot Topic acquired Her Universe in 2016; the brand was founded in 2010 by Ashley Eckstein, who provides the voice of Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano in animation.
