Man missing from campground in El Dorado National Forest found safe

Brian Donohue was last seen around noon Saturday, Aug. 31.

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — UPDATE: The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office confirmed Donohue was found safe around 2 p.m. Monday.

A search is underway Monday for a man missing from a campground in the El Dorado National Forest.

Brian Donohue was last seen around noon Saturday, Aug. 31. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said he is missing from the area of Gerle Creek Campground and Crystal Basin Recreation Area of the El Dorado National Forest.

The 66-year-old is 5 feet 11 inches with hazel eyes and brown hair. The sheriff's office said he was last seen wearing camouflage print cargo pants, work boots and a dark shirt.
