STOCKTON, Calif. — Congressman Josh Harder (D-Stockton) is trying to secure another two years in the House of Representatives, but there's at least three other challengers looking to stand in his way.

Among them is the current mayor of Stockton, Kevin Lincoln (R); and fellow Republicans Khalid Jafri and John McBride.

They are competing for votes in California’s 9th Congressional District. Redrawn due to 2020 Census results, the district covers the majority of San Joaquin County including Stockton, Tracy and Manteca, plus parts of Contra Costa and Stanislaus counties.

The top two candidates will head to the General Election in November.
