BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — One person died after a plane crashed in Butte County Tuesday afternoon.
Cal Fire Butte County Fire Department Captain Dan Collins said the person was the only person in the plane and was declared dead at the scene.
The crash was reported just before 2 p.m. at Richvale Airport, and the cause of the crash isn't known at this time.
The plane was described as an agricultural aircraft, according to Collins.
The Federal Aviation Administration is en route to investigate the crash.
