Body of man who drowned in Lake Don Pedro recovered

The body of a man who drowned in Lake Don Pedro on July 4 has been recovered, according to Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office.

The victim is suspected to be the same person, a 26-year-old male who was vacationing from Fullerton, who was reported missing on July 4, according to the sheriff office's spokesperson Scott Johnson.

The body was located Sunday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. Johnson said that the body was discovered under 140 feet of water using sonar.

No foul play was suspected and the identification of the victim and the official cause of death will be released after the autopsy is completed, Johnson said.
