CALIFORNIA, USA — Rain and high-elevation snow will continue throughout the day for Northern California weather. The low-pressure system off the coast will continue to spin up showers and thunderstorms like the storms that woke up many across the region early Monday morning.
Rain will continue off and on in waves. Rain is likely heavier in the morning hours, with more scattered and lighter showers in the afternoon. There will also be changing conditions in the Sierra with periods of snow mixed with rain.
Showery conditions and periods of moderate to heavy rain will continue through Wednesday morning as the storm works its way south toward Southern California.
Dry conditions are expected to build into the region Thursday before another period of active weather sets in after Christmas.
