TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee Fire Protection District says at least five people were hurt following a head-on crash in Truckee Saturday.
Officials said it happened about a half mile south of West River Street on Highway 89. They said three people were taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital with moderate injuries and two others were taken to the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno in critical.
"There was a significant rain that moved through the area resulted in Truckee fire responding to 6 vehicle accidents between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.," officials told ABC10.
