ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Roseville Police Department is investigating a deadly accident involving a high school football player.
According to police, the rollover accident happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for his injuries where he later died.
He was identified as Julian Snyder, a Casa Roble High School football player.
Police say the investigation and follow-up is expected to last several weeks. However, police added that alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor at this time and that the boy was not the only person in the car.
A vigil is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the high school football field.
