CERES, Calif. — A Ceres man pleaded guilty to first-degree murder this week after stabbing his girlfriend to death in February.
According to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office, 33-year-old Ruben Olvera will be sentenced Nov. 19.
Prosecutors say Olvera was driving the victim on Highway 99 in Modesto when he stabbed her multiple times while in the car. The victim jumped out and tried to get away, but Olvera hit her with the car, killing her.
