Police believe he was trying to pick up the same girl in Citrus Heights to take her to Mexico.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — A man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Kern County is facing new charges after he allegedly violated his restraining order Wednesday.

According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, detectives arrested 35-year-old Miguel Aragon Torres for violating the order protecting a 15-year-old girl.

Police say Torres was previously charged with sexually assaulting the girl in Kern County.

He was intercepted and arrested while trying to pick up the teen. It’s believed he was planning to go with her to Mexico.

“Torres was scheduled to be back in court tomorrow (Thursday) in Kern County for the pending charges. We'll help make sure he makes it back to court on time,” the police department wrote.
