3 hurt in Citrus Heights crash

The crash happened on southbound Sunrise Boulevard, north of Twin Oaks Avenue around 2:30 p.m. and three people had minor to moderate injuries, officials say.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — 4:10 p.m. update: All roads in the area have reopened, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department.

The crash happened on southbound Sunrise Boulevard, north of Twin Oaks Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

Sacramento Metro Fire Department officials say all three people were hurt, but have minor to moderate injuries. Only one person was taken to the hospital, the other two were released at the scene. 

The Citrus Heights Police Department says lanes are blocked in the area and encourage drivers to avoid the area. Traffic is being diverted one block south of the accident as both southbound lanes are blocked by cars and a street sign. 

It's unclear what caused the accident. No other information is available at this time.
