CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — A Dollar Tree in Citrus Heights is closed Monday until repairs are made on its collapsed roof.
Around 3 a.m., the roof collapsed into the store located at 7000 Sunrise Blvd. as a result of a statewide storm that ravaged California over the weekend, according to a social media post by Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
The collapse did not injure anyone, and the building will remain closed until repairs can be made, the district said.
Rick Kelley, a building inspector with the city of Citrus Heights, declared the building unsafe to occupy through a notice on its front door.
Entry is prohibited except to repair the building under permit.
