Motorcyclist killed in Citrus Heights accident

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — One person is dead after a collision between a motorcyclist and a vehicle in Citrus Heights Wednesday afternoon.

The Citrus Heights Police Department said they have closed eastbound Antelope between Mariposa and Sunrise due to the accident. The collision was reported around 2:50 p.m. along the 7700 block of Antelope Road.

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's not clear what led up to the collision, but Citrus Heights Police Department said it's unknown if speed was factor. However, alcohol isn't suspected as a factor in the crash.
