Colusa County runaway might be in Placer County, deputies say

Deputies are looking for the whereabouts of Lilly Edwards, 15.

COLUSA COUNTY, Calif. — A teenager could be in Placer County after running away from her Colusa County home, officials said.

The Colusa County Sheriff's Office said 15-year-old Lilly Edwards was reported missing on Oct. 9 around 7 a.m. Deputies said she last seen in her home getting ready for bed the night before around 10:30 p.m. but she was gone by the morning

Her mother called the sheriff's office to report her missing, also noting that Edwards had packed a bag.

Citing the girl's mother, deputies said Edwards was trying to date Andrew Magana from Maxwell, CA against the mother's approval.

"The juvenile’s mother believes that she left the residence minutes after her last contact, possibly with Magana," the sheriff's office said.

Deputies said the girl and Magana were possibly driven away by Magana's friend Phillip Flannery.

Deputies said Edwards and Magana could be in the Placer County area. Edwards is considered a runaway at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts can call Detective Sergeant Luis Ruiz at (530) 458-0200.
