MODESTO, Calif. — The Stanislaus County Fair is three months away, but we now know who will headline the 2024 entertainment lineup… The Commodores!
“Get ready for an unforgettable night of soulful melodies and electrifying performances,” said fair spokesperson, Jose Piña.
The group is celebrating more than five decades in the music industry after forming in 1968 while the members were in college at the Tuskegee Institute. The group caught the attention of record executive Berry Gordy just years later.
The Commodores have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and collected several hits, including ‘Brick House,’ ‘Easy,’ ‘Night Shift,’ ‘Three Times a Lady,’ and ‘Sail On.’
The band will perform on the Modelo Free Variety Stage and the concert series is presented by Black Oak Casino Resort.
The 2024 Stanislaus County Fair will run from July 5-14. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 27 and all concerts are free with a paid general admission ticket.
