FAIR OAKS, Calif. — Concerts in the Park in Fair Oaks returns next week.
From 8-10 p.m. Thursday, June 27, on the softball field at Fair Oaks Park, the first of three concerts kicks off a summer series being presented by the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District (FORPD), the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Fair Oaks Foundation for Leisure and the Arts.
Next week’s concert will feature Ideateam, a band of Sacramento-based musicians whose live sets fuse experimental funk, soul and R&B sounds in vintage and modern cover arrangements, according to the artists’ website.
Fair Oaks’ second concert in the summer series features Tom and the Broken Hearts, a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, on Thursday, July 25.
On Thursday, Aug. 22, the third and final concert in the series will host Jim Anderson and the Rebels, an Elvis tribute band.
Gates for each concert open at 7:30 p.m., and the event is free and first come, first serve.
Food is allowed and the Carnival Food Truck will be present at each concert.
No glass is permitted at the events because the location is an active playing field, according to FORPD. Coolers will be checked for glass and bottles; organizers ask patrons to bring items in plastic containers.
No animals are permitted within the fence, however, seating for those with pets, including service animals, is available along the outside of the fence line.
Smoking is not permitted in the park at any time.
