DAVIS, Calif. — Before she was shot and killed Thursday night, Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona came from a family of law enforcement and community service.
Her father, Merced Corona, was a member of the Colusa County Sheriff’s Department for 26 years. Recently, he was sworn in as a Colusa County Board Supervisor.
In high school, Natalie volunteered as a referee and life guard for the Arbuckle Department of Parks and Recreation.
“She was extremely well loved by our community and will be deeply missed,” the Arbuckle Parks and Recreation District wrote on its Facebook page.
Those who knew the young woman say she had always had hopes and dreams to become a police officer.
This is a developing story. Stay with ABC10 as more information becomes available.
