Person hit by Amtrak train west of Davis

The train left Davis and was heading toward the Fairfield-Vacaville station when the incident happened.

DAVIS, Calif. — An 'unauthorized' person was hit by an Amtrak train west of Davis Tuesday evening, officials said.

According to an AmtrakAlerts notice, Train 547 has been stopped with no estimate on when service will continue as of 6:15 p.m. The train left Davis and was heading toward the Fairfield-Vacaville station when the incident happened.  

It's not clear what led up to the incident, but first responders are investigating the incident.
