DAVIS, Calif — Two CHP officers were hurt when a wrong-way driver crashed into their patrol car along I-80 in Davis, police said.
According to to the California Highway Patrol, the officers were both in the same car on the right hand shoulder of I-80 when they were hit head on, just west of Mace Boulevard. The officers had finished up a traffic stop before the crash.
A spokesperson for CHP said both officers were hurt with minor to moderate injuries and the alleged wrong-way driver had minor injuries. Everyone was taken to a hospital for treatment.
