Victim in deadly DOCO stabbing knew his attacker, police say

Police also say the two were homeless and they're still investigating the motive.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The victim in Tuesday afternoon’s deadly stabbing in DOCO knew his attacker, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The stabbing happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 400 block of K Street, near 4th Street and Downtown Commons.

Upon arrival officers found the victim, identified as 22-year-old Laronn Derose Wilson, with at least one stab wound. Wilson was taken to the hospital in critical condition and he later died from his injures.

Now, Sacramento police say Wilson and his alleged attacker knew one another and information from the scene suggests the two were homeless.

Police say they are not releasing a description of the suspect, are not releasing any potential video as it would be evidence in the case and are still investigating the motive.

Anyone with information in the stabbing can call the Sacramento Police Department.
